Two reports of sexual assault at CSU Long Beach

Two women reported being sexually assaulted by two men at a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity party near Cal State University Long Beach two Saturdays ago, according to school officials.

The women said intimidation and force were used, according to the school.

Long Beach police would not confirm if any of the people involved were students or if the men belonged to the frat, but the school did say the fraternity was required to stop all activity during the investigation.

Pham says student had to watch a 45 minute sexual assault training video before they were allowed to sign up for classes.

Even though students feel fearful, they say they feel brought together knowing more. The university sent them e-mail alerts of the report.

"I think what they're doing with the alerts helps a lot. It helps the students support each other when this does happen," said CSULB student Katie Romero.
