Suspects wanted for tossing rocks, bricks off freeway overpass at cars

PERRIS, Calif. (FOX 11) - At least one driver was injured after a rock smashed through the front windshield of his car on Interstate 215. California Highway Patrol Officers were received multiple calls about rocks being thrown over the Nuevo Avenue overpass into traffic Sunday night.

At least two vehicles had bricks and rocks smash through their windows and two semi-truck drivers also reported damage.

Investigators say one driver noticed someone dressed in black and standing on the overpass bridge before his car was hit.

Officer Dan Olivas with the California Highway Patrol said the driver suffered minor injuries to his face and head after a rock smashed through his window.

"If you are ever in this situation get to a safe place, call for help and do not chase the person," said Olivas, "You could find yourself in a far worse situation".
