Nicholas Pierson, a Hesperia resident, recorded video on his cellphone of heavy winds in the area. He was going through the drive-thru line at Popeyes on Main Street when wind gusts started picking up.
"It was a little windy, no big deal, but then right as I started driving up to the window, the car started to shake and then you just see everything flying. Looking behind me, you couldn't see anything but just the force and all of that debris coming towards me and everybody else and then it got dark," said Pierson.

Pierson sent the quick clips of the dramatic cellphone video to FOX 11 News.
"I've never been through that. To be honest it was kind of scary because it kept getting more powerful and more powerful and then you couldn't see anything so I didn't know where it was coming from. It legitimately felt like ok wait is this like a tornado or no because I know we don't really have those in California but as far as how powerful it was and my car was shaking and all the stuff around me flying like that, it was a little scary," said Pierson.
FOX 11 News reached out to the National Weather Service and their staff said the storm is classified as "heavy winds."
