Porch pirates snag important boxes from woman's home

ENCINO, Calif. (FOX 11) - A woman in Encino watched from her Ring camera as two women snatching important packages from her porch while she was out of the house, and could do nothing to stop them.

Shannon, who didn't want her last name to be used, has stage 4 colon cancer and says she orders stuff for delivery on a regular basis- such as medication.

Shannon says the UPS driver dropped the packages off without ringing her door bell or knocking at the door about two hours before the theft.

After the women swiped the packages, Shannon says she immediately called police, but they were slow to respond- keeping her on hold for nearly 30 minutes.

She says she recognizes it's not an urgent crime, but it's still a huge deal to the people it affects.

Shannon is sharing the video in hopes someone will recognize the two suspects and police will catch them before this happens to someone else.
