Pedestrian killed by Amtrak train in North Hollywood
NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS / FOX 11) - A pedestrian was fatally struck by an Amtrak train Friday night in North Hollywood.
The victim was struck about 7:05 p.m. by a southbound train near the 6800 block of Vineland Avenue, near Bob Hope Airport, and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles fire and police departments.
The victim was struck by Pacific Surfliner train number 790, with 241 passengers aboard, about one mile north of the Burbank Station, according to an Amtrak official.
No one on board was injured.
