Panda cub refuses to let go of his favorite toy

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - A panda cub at the San Diego Zoo had a ball during a health exam.

The giant panda cub named Xiao Liwu was filmed clutching a plastic ball during his 18th exam.

Panda keepers gave the cub, also known as Mr. Wu, the ball to test his coordination and encourage him to play with new objects. He frequently toppled over to the delight of the zoo keepers.
