One man killed, another wounded in South L.A. shooting

(FOX 11/CNS) - One man was killed and a second was wounded in a shooting this afternoon in South Los Angeles.

The shooting was reported about 3:50 p.m. in the area of 41st Place and Long Beach Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene and a man in his 50s was taken to a hospital, but his condition was not immediately available, according to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez.

A detailed description of the gunman, who was gone when officers arrived, was not immediately available.
