New study says millennials have weaker hands compared to older generations
Millennials might have have tough thumbs for all that texting, but according to a new study they have a wimpy handshake compared to the previous generation.
A study published in the 'Journal of Hand Therapy' tested the hand grip of millennials and found that young men and women today had significantly weaker hand grips than those tested 30 years ago.
Occupational therapists say considering young people do more texting and clicking with their hands than hard manual labor weaker hand grips could be a sign of general flabbiness
But they hope the study will motivate millennials to work on strengthening their grip.
Experts say unless millennials start working on their strength in their hands. They could enter old age with simple tasks like carrying grocery bags and lifting cooking pots will get harder to do.
Their advice... Work on improving your grip now.
