Man found fatally wounded near dog park in Montecito Heights

LOS ANGELES - Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department were investigating a deadly shooting that happened at a dog park in Montecito Heights Wednesday morning. 

Arriving LAPD officers discovered a 55-year-old man suffering from at least one gunshot wound after responded to reports of shots fired.  He was found unconscious at Hermon Dog Park, located near Monterey Road and S Avenue 60 just after 7:50 a.m. 

No further information was immediately available.
