Man arrested on suspicion of public intoxication found hours after escaping from sheriff's station

CALABASAS, Calif. - A man who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public and managed to escape from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station in Calabasas was found hours later, officials said. 

The escape occurred at 1:47 a.m. from the station at 27050 Agoura Rd,, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The unarmed suspect is described as a 23-year-old Hispanic man wearing a white T-shirt and dark shorts, sheriff's officials said.

The search area is Agoura Road from the Lost Hills Station to Las Virgenes Road, officials said.

The suspect's name was not released.
