Lancaster woman attends Republican National Convention to honor murdered brother, a federal security guard
LOS ANGELES - With the political conventions over, Angela Underwood Jacobs is back to work in Lancaster. The banker and former Lancaster city council woman was recognized at the Republican National Convention as her brother was honored while Vice President Mike Pence addressed a convention crowd.
Dave Patrick Underwood, a federal security guard, was murdered in Oakland at the height of the George Floyd protests.
As Underwood Jacobs sat amongst a crowd of law enforcement and members of the military who'd been wounded she says she was "full of emotion."
The nation was first introduced to Underwood Jacobs when she testified before a congressional panel. Also testifying, two brothers of George Floyd. They are both stories of African American families who've suffered tremendous grief during one of the nation's most tumultuous times.

The Vice President recognized Underwood Jacobs in the audience and said "America will never forget or fail to honor officer Dave Patrick Underwood. She says she hoped she was making her brother proud in telling his story.
Underwood Jacobs is the vice president of a bank and had run for congress as a republican. She says she was at the RNC because it was important to get the message out.
