Lake Forest bank robbery suspect arrested after 2-month search
LAKE FOREST, Calif. - After a nearly two-month search, Orange County deputies announced Friday that they'd arrested the man they said was responsible for a bank robbery in Lake Forest back in October.
Edward Eugene Redd was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of robbing the Chase Bank near Portola Parkway on Oct. 17.
The robbery happened around noon that day. Deputies were called out to the bank after reports of the robbery, but by the time they got there, the suspect had run off. According to officials, the thief had a gun, and fired one shot in the bank, but no one was injured.
