Kendrick Lamar, SZA perform at Watts holiday toy drive, concert

It’s the year of Kendrick Lamar and the "Not Like Us" rapper continues to be a man of the people.

After releasing a new album, "GNX," and two months ahead of his Super Bowl 2025 halftime show, he was listed as one of the headliners for the 11th Annual TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment) Concert and Toy Drive on Thursday.

Since this year marks 20 years for the independent label founded in Carson, they’re going all out this year.

The two-day celebration supports the Nickerson Gardens Housing Projects in Watts.

Hundreds gathered Thursday and waited in long lines to see artists including SZA, Doechii, Jay Rock and ScHoolboy Q.

For those unable to make the event, they can catch SZA and Lamar during their tour next summer.
