Investigators probe cause of cars damaged in parking lot fire

Several cars were damaged by fire in Granada Hills, authorities said Wednesday.

The fire was reported around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 10100 block of Woodley Avenue, according to Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.

Police were notified about the fire but not requested at the scene.

Responding firefighters found at least two cars with their engines on fire, news media outlets reported, and at least six cars were affected.

The fire was knocked down in 15 minutes and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
