Hazmat incident reported at Hotel Solarena in Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, Calf. (FOX 11) - Fire crews are on scene of a reported hazmat situation at a hotel in Newport Beach. 

A strong smell was reportedly coming from the Hotel Solarena which is located on the 6200 block of West Coast Hwy. 

At this point there is no indication on what the strong oder was or if there is a threat to anyone at the hotel. 

A few people from the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing are staying at the hotel.
