'Gone in 60 seconds': Thieves target women filling up at area gas stations

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (FOX 11) - There's a disturbing trend at area gas stations that has been dubbed "gone in 60 seconds."

As women are pumping gas, thieves quickly and quietly steal their purses and other valuables right out of their vehicle.

The crime is also known as "sliding" and has been reported at gas stations throughout Southern California with the latest incident reported in Simi Valley.
