German Shepard dragged from truck receives ongoing treatment from Riverside County Animal Services

JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. - A 7-month-old German Shepard is making strides after she was dragged from a truck for about one mile in late July, said officials. 

The accident happened on July 29 when "Beauty" was placed on the back of a pickup truck by her owner. At some point, she jumped or fell out of the vehicle before she was dragged, said officials. 

The dog suffered ripped paws and abrasions to her body. 

It is unknown if the owner will face animal cruelty charges.
