FOX Nation's Tomi Lahren: How Republicans Can Win Back California
LOS ANGELES (FOX 11) - Tomi Lahren says there's a path forward for California Republicans after a crushing electoral defeat in the Midterms.
"Republicans have failed in this state to explain the issues and show the economic benefits of voting for Republicans and that's on us," Lahren told Elex Michaelson on FOX 11's political show "The Issue Is:"
Where does the G.O.P. go from here?
"We stay away from the social issues. Those who know me, know that I'm very adamant about this. In California, you will lose if you start talking about abortion, you start talking about LGBT, you start getting into those issues, you are going to lose people, almost immediately," she said.
Lahren's full interview with Michaelson will air on "The Issue Is:" Friday night at 10:30pm on FOX 11 Los Angeles.
"Instead of talking about those things, we need to talk about things that impact real Californians and that's economics, that's tax reform," Lahren continued.
Starting in January every single member of Congress representing both Los Angeles and Orange Counties will be Democrats.
In Sacramento, there will also be a Democratic governor and Democratic super majorities in the Assembly and Senate.
Lahren is now a Southern California resident and said that she closely studies California politics.
"A lot of people go into the voting booth in California and they see a D and they vote for the D no matter what it is. They vote for the D because they think that is the moral choice," she said.
Lahren is now hosting two daily commentaries on FOX Nation. The streaming service from FOX News Channel is available for $5.99 a month. It features original content from a variety of FOX News personalities.
