Former NASA engineer creates 'glitter bomb' to foil porch pirates

A huge problem this time of year, package thieves taking presents left at the front door. But one man has built a special device that could have so-called porch pirates thinking twice.

Mark Rober is a former NASA engineer, who, like millions of Americans across the country, fell victim to package theft.

When police wouldn't investigate the crime, he took matters into his own engineering hands.

The 38-year old Youtuber created a genius revenge glitter bomb package, complete with a GPS tracker, surveillance camera and fart spray.

Yes, fart spray.

Rober is no stranger to innovative inventions. In 2011, he designed an iPad Halloween costume that became a name brand.

Rober's Christmas wish is to teach thieves crime doesn't pay.

Watch the video above as his gift keeps on giving.
