First Full Moon on Christmas in Nearly 40 Years

It hasn't happened since 1977. But this year, the moon will be full on Christmas.

It will be full at 6:11am on December 25 th , giving us our best view here in Georgia on Christmas Eve night. Perhaps Rudolph's glowing red nose won't be necessary to navigate the skies!

A Christmas full moon will not happen again until 2034.
