LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - One person was killed, two others suffered critical injuries and a woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in a crash today near the Park La Brea community of Los Angeles, police said.
The crash in the area of Formosa Avenue and Beverly Boulevard occurred about 2:30 a.m., according to police.
The motorist, the lone occupant in her car, was possibly driving southbound on La Brea Avenue when she struck a parked car and then hit three pedestrians standing nearby, said Officer Derek Sledge of the LAPD's West Traffic Division.
A pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed the other two pedestrians to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with critical injuries, Sledge said.
The motorist, who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, was not injured, he said.
