Dodgers celebrate back-to-back championships with more than 225,000 fans

LOS ANGELES - Well over 200,000 people gathered together on Monday, Nov. 3 to celebrate the World Series champions!

What we know:

The Dodgers are back home in Los Angeles with the World Series trophy after beating the Toronto Blue Jays in an all-time classic that took all the way to not only seven games, but also to extra innings in the said winner-take-all showdown.

Monday marked parade day for the back-to-back World Series champs as the Boys in Blue got a chance to celebrate with the fans. In addition to partying with the champs, fans got to cheer on Clayton Kershaw one last time as a Dodger.

More than 200,000 people attended last year's World Series parade, and officials predicted even more this year. Thousands of people lined up early Monday morning to secure good viewing spots as streets were closed to traffic around the parade route.

Team members, relatives and other Dodger employees traveled atop double-decker buses, waving to adoring fans as they were showered with confetti and screams of appreciation.

The procession then traveled to Dodger Stadium for a celebration that began shortly after 12:15 p.m. Players walked across a blue carpet as confetti rained down on them and the song "Not Like Us" by Kendrick Lamar played in the background. Thousands of fans sang along and cheered on their beloved champions.

Due to logistics, traffic and timing, fans were not able to attend both the parade and the stadium celebration, but the parade was shown on DodgerVision inside the stadium.

Tickets for the stadium celebration were sold out by Sunday night, according to the Dodgers.

Arrest tally

5 p.m.: Of the 225,000 to 250,000 estimated attendees only two arrests were made in the afternoon, LAPD said. While the numbers are tentative, Monday's tally suggests the arrest rate would be between 0.0008% and 0.00088%.

12:50 p.m.: 2025 World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave a heartwarming speech in Spanish and English as his proud teammates looked on.

12:28 p.m.: No one celebrates quite like Kiké Hernández! With a camcorder still in hand to capture every moment, he celebrated with fans at Dodger Stadium. 

12:24 p.m.: Teoscar Hernández is seen with his family at Dodger Stadium as the rally gets underway in Elysian Park.

12 p.m.: The party continues from downtown LA to Elysian Park at Dodger Stadium.

11:25 a.m.: Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts proudly held up the Commissioner's Trophy as he waved to fans. 

11:19 a.m.: FOX 11's cameras were rolling as thousands of Dodger fans packed the streets to cheer on their team and to congratulate them on their back-to-back championships. 

Kershaw's last ride

11:05 a.m.: Clayton Kershaw was seen embracing every second of his last ride. His career ended with a bang, adding another World Series title to his list of accolades. 

11 a.m.: As the parade kicked off, Dodgers fan-favorite Kiké Hernández documented the action from his view. 

10:55 a.m.: Clayton Kershaw and his family were seen getting ready for the day's big festivities. 

9:55 a.m.: The Dodgers started getting into position on the double-decker buses. FOX 11's cameras were rolling as Shohei Ohtani was all smiles ahead of the action.

10 a.m.: FOX 11's Amanda Salas, Hailey Winslow, Nic Garcia and Mario Ramirez take us where the fans have packed the streets, ready to celebrate back-to-back titles. 

9:43 a.m.: FOX 11's Nic Garcia takes us to the end of the parade route at Figueroa and 5th streets where he said, "the real party is." 

7:22 a.m.: Amanda Salas discusses the World Series win with Dodgers public address announcer, Todd Leitz. 

7 a.m.: Good Day LA's Amanda Salas, Koco McAboy, Sandra Endo and Mario Ramirez take us to the action hours ahead of the parade. 

4 a.m.: Fans started lining up along the parade route as early as 2:30 a.m. for a guaranteed prime spot of the action, Good Day LA's Mario Ramirez reported.
