Deputy surprised by mystery lawn mower
Bemidji, Minn. (FOX 13) - It's not every day you walk out of your front door to find your lawn was mowed by a stranger, but that's what happened to a sheriff's deputy in in Minnesota. He was even more surprised to find out a young boy was the one behind it.
In a Facebook post, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office said one of its deputies found his lawn freshly mowed. Then he found a handwritten note from the mystery lawn mower.
The note said, "Hey, I'm the kid that mowed your lawn. My name is Brett. I'm 17-years-old and I'm the mower for [the neighbor] next door to your house. If it's okay with you I would like to mow your lawn for your because your job is hard enough and I think people like you should know that we are behind you guys. Take the extra hour that it takes to mow and spend time doing what you love. Thanks, Brett."
The Facebook post thanked Brett and added, "We love those we serve."
"Our office is deeply appreciative of the kind words and support the law enforcement community has received! We are proud to serve such a great community!"
