INGLEWOOD, Calif. (FOX 11) - The Los Angeles Sheriff's Office is investigating a deputy-involved shooting that occurred in the Inglewood area Thursday night.
One suspect was struck by gunfire and taken to the hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics. The condition of the suspect is unknown at this time.
The incident occurred in the area of Imperial Highway and Doty Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. and involved a Sheriff's deputy's vehicle, seen with bullet holes on the front windshield.
No deputies were injured in the shooting, according to law enforcement.
The immediate area has been closed off to traffic for the investigation -- between Yukon Avenue and Doty Avenue. Surrounding streets may also be impacted.
