California voters consider moving due to housing costs

A new poll finds that more than half of California voters have considered moving due to sky-high housing costs in the state.

The statewide poll, from UC Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies, found that 56% of registered voters in California have considered moving, with 1 in 4 saying they would move out of state if they decided to leave.

High housing costs also likely led to 60% of the electorate saying they support rent control.

The poll breaks down by regions with LA County and 'Other Southern California locations' ranking highest in terms of people who say they've considered leaving-- at 59% and 60%, respectively.
