California bars one step closer to alcohol service until 4:00am
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (FOX 11) - State legislators have come up with a new bill to spur economic growth across the state. How? Extend alcohol sales from 2:00am, to 4:00am.
California Senate Bill 384 would give local communities the right to decide extending alcohol sales.
Right now, state law mandates all businesses must stop serving alcohol at 2:00am.
Part of the bill also requires communities to come up with a transportation plan and public safety.
SB-384 is one step away from a vote by the full assembly.
The senate already passed it 27-to-9.
