Burglary suspect barricaded at home in Studio City

STUDIO CITY, Calif. (FOX 11) - A barricaded suspect in Studio City is now in police custody after a 4-hour standoff Wednesday.

Los Angeles police and a SWAT team were called out to the 12000 block of Hillslope Street in Studio City after detectives knocked at a home at about 11:30 a.m. looking for a burglary suspect who also had an outstanding warrant out of Ohio, according to LAPD.

A man opened the door of the home and quickly closed it after seeing police, then, refused to follow orders, LAPD said. Two people were allowed to leave the home during the standoff.

The suspect has not been identified but he was taken into custody at about 3:30 p.m.

No further details were immediately known.
