Burbank PD searches for man wanted in sexual assault of 12-year old girl

Police asked for the public's help today to identify a man who allegedly assaulted a 12-year-old girl at a Target store in Burbank.

The alleged assault took place about 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the Target store at 1800 Empire Ave., according to Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

The girl was shopping at the store with her mother when the suspect allegedly walked up and squeezed her buttocks. The suspect then walked out the store and left the scene, according to Losacco.

The suspect was described as male Hispanic in his late 20s, with a thin build, black hair and some facial hair, Losacco said. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and jeans and shoes with red shoelaces.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts was asked to call Burbank police Sgt. Stephen Turner at (818) 238-3257.
