Authorities ID motorcyclist killed in crash in Tujunga

LOS ANGELES - (CNS) - Authorities today identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash involving another vehicle in Tujunga as 48-year-old Rafael Ramirez of Tujunga.
Ramirez died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday near St. Estaban Street and Tujunga Canyon Boulevard, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Ramirez was southbound on Tujunga Canyon Boulevard approaching Esteban Street when he collided with a Volkswagen Jetta that was making a left turn to go north.
The driver, who was eventually taken to a hospital, initially remained at the scene and cooperated with the crash investigation, which is ongoing, police said.
