1 dead after Sun Valley double shooting, police say

LOS ANGELES - A deadly double shooting is under investigation in Los Angeles' Sun Valley neighborhood.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call near the intersection of Vineland Avenue and Valerio Street around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, LAPD found two people with gunshot wounds.

One victim died at the hospital. Ther other underwent surgery and is expected to survive, police said.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation. 

No arrests have been made at this time.
