Annandale video shows man crash security guard's stolen car multiple times, police say
ANNANDALE, Va. - Dramatic video captured a suspect crashing a security guard's stolen car multiple times in a wild scene outside a Safeway in Annandale, according to police.
Authorities said 35-year-old Christopher Robinson of Triangle, Virginia crashed his car and took off on foot to the Safeway at the Little River Shopping Center at about 10 a.m. Officials said Robinson attempted to carjack a woman and that's when a security guard stepped in to help.

Robinson pulled a knife during the struggle and managed to get the security guard's keys, according to police. The suspect jumped in the security guard's car and attempted to drive off.
"As that struggle continued the suspect was able to remove the car keys from the security officer's pocket and steal his vehicle," Officer Mike Crutchman with the Fairfax County Police Department explained.
Video captured by witness Johnny West showed Robinson hitting several cars, signs and even taking out a pillar on the Safeway building.

"When he was backing out, he backed up and hit the front of the Safeway, stopped for a few seconds and scrambled off again," witness Johnny West described to FOX 5.
The chaotic scene concluded with Robinson crashing into a power pole and exiting, according to police. The suspect had a pit bull inside the car with him during the entire ordeal.
"Our officers used extra precaution due to that factor and to ensure the safety of the dog as well," Crutchman said.
Robinson refused to follow commands from officers and was tasered, according to police. He was taken into custody and police said he has been charged, though they did not specify what charges he faced.
Officials said, thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.
