Fire breaks out along 405 Freeway in Sepulveda Pass

A fire broke out along the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass near Sherman Oaks. The "Sepulveda Fire" was reported around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 in the northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway.
While no evacuation orders had been formally announced as of 11:30 p.m., residents in the area had been previously impacted by the Palisades Fire when the 23,000-acre blaze briefly reached parts of Bel-Air and Brentwood.
By early Thursday morning, the Los Angeles Fire Department said forward progress had stopped and the fire held at 40 acres.

Evacuation warnings were temporarily in effect for the following areas:
- South of 1500 block of Casiano Road
- North of Moraga Drive
- East of Sepulveda Boulevard
- West of Chalon Road
The warnings were lifted by 2 a.m. Thursday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on social media.
