2 hikers rescued after becoming stranded near the Hollywood sign

LOS ANGELES - Two hikers were rescued Monday evening after becoming stranded near the Hollywood sign in the Hollywood Hills.
Due to power lines in the area, Los Angeles Fire crews were unable to do a hoist rescue. Instead, a two-line rope system was used to bring the two female hikers up to safety.
It's unknown how the two became stranded.
Both women are unhurt, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Both hikers are described as being in their early 20s.
