World's spiciest tortilla chip comes in one per package

This tortilla chip is so spicy, it's only sold one at a time.

Paqui Chips has created the Carolina Reaper Madness Chip, a tortilla chip made with the spiciest pepper in the world, the Carolina Reaper, as well as the former hottest pepper -- the ghost pepper.

The chip is "not for the faint of heart," which is why the company only sells one at a time in a coffin-shaped box.

According to Guinness World Records, the Carolina Reaper delivers an average of 1,569,300 Scoville Heat Units.

The box features a drawing of a Grim Reaper, and across the top reads, "Inside: One deadly chip."

"We're always looking to push the limits to find fun ways for our fans and consumers to engage with us," Paqui Chips Brand Manager Jeff Day told Mashable. "When we decided that we wanted to make the world's hottest chip, we first said, well, we need to find the world's hottest pepper."

The Carolina Reaper Madness Chip sells for $4.99 per coffin and will hit stores in October.
