Woman sought in attempted kidnappings in Los Angeles

Update: Woman arrested in attempted kidnappings of two 4-year-old children in Los Angeles

Police released images of a woman they say is suspected in a kidnapping and attempted kidnapping that occurred in the city of Los Angeles on May 14 and 15, hoping the community might recognize her and help identify her.

The woman is described as either Hispanic or Black, with black hair, 25-30 years old, approximately 5-feet 4-inches tall and weighing about 115 pounds.

The suspect has a possible scar or birthmark on her forehead and an unknown tattoo above her left breast and another tattoo on the upper back and left shoulder.

Los Angeles Police Department says on May 14, 2019, at 3:15 p.m., the suspect approached and carried the victim, a 4-year-old, out of the McDonald's located at 1310 E. Olympic Boulevard. The suspect attempted to get into a car with the child but was stopped by a witness. The suspect then fled on food from the area, police say.

On May 15, 2019, at 11:15 a.m., police say the suspect approached a 4-year-old boy in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and San Pedro Street. Police say she pulled his hand and tried walking away with the victim, who was walking alongside a family member when the incident occurred, before being stopped by a witness. The suspect then took off on foot.
