Woman rescued after falling 70 feet down cliff in San Pedro

SAN PEDRO, Calif. - Emergency crews responded to the 4100 block of S. Pacific Avenue in San Pedro after a woman reportedly fell approximately 70 feet from the clifftop to the rocks at the shoreline Thursday, Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The woman, who is about 50 years old, suffered severe head trauma andwas in grave condition when hoisted aboard a helicopter for transport to ahospital, Humphrey said.
It was not immediately clear if the woman had intended to harm herself.
The incident was reported shortly after 4 p.m.
The investigation into exactly what happened is ongoing.
