Anaheim police arrested 28-year-old Joshua Robert Dalton of Anaheim after he was identified as the suspect on a video that showed him climbing on the hood of a woman's car and smashing her windshield with his fist in an apparent road rage attack.

Dalton was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Friday near his home. He was booked into the Anaheim Detention Facility for felony vandalism.

Police in Anaheim are looking for a man who jumped onto the hood of a woman's car and smashed her windshield with his fist in a case of apparent road rage.

Veneranda Valencia said she was driving around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday in the area of State College Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue when she noticed a white Jeep Liberty or Cherokee following her and driving erratically.

The suspect then drove in front of the victim's vehicle, forced her to stop and then climbed onto the hood of her car and smashed the windshield, police said. The man then got back in his Jeep and drove away.

Valencia was in her vehicle at the time with a male friend, 49, and her two children, ages 12 and 13. No one was injured during the incident.

Valencia recorded the incident from inside her vehicle and posted the recording on social media.

Police say the 34-year-old had never seen the man before and the attack was unprovoked.

The hood of the vehicle was dented and the windshield was shattered, causing an estimated $1,200 in damage, police said.

The suspect was described as a heavyset, white male, approximately 40-years-old with strawberry blonde hair who is partially balding and a full beard.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Anaheim Police Department at 714-765-1900 or Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
