WB 10, NB PCH closed in Santa Monica after pedestrian struck and killed
SANTA MONICA (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Wednesday in Santa Monica, police said.
The man was hit about 5:10 a.m. in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway and died at the scene, the Santa Monica Police Department reported. Authorities withheld his name, pending family notification.
The motorist remained at the scene and was interviewed by police. Northbound lanes of PCH were closed while an investigation was conducted, a closure that was continuing about two hours afterward. Southbound PCH remained open.
