WARNING: Burglary crew in Mar Vista posing as Postmates delivery drivers

A warning to be on the lookout for burglars in Mar Vista posing as food delivery drivers.

Now police are releasing security camera video hoping you will recognize the suspects.

A woman who knocked on a mar vista home with a subway sandwich bag in hand identified herself as a Postmates delivery person, but the homeowner said he never ordered any food and he wasn't home either.

"When nobody answered the door she went back to the getaway car," he said. "on another camera I picked up two guys basically jumping the fence and looking through my windows."

The victim didn't want to be identified, but he shared with FOX 11 security camera footage from his home that recorded the burglary.

"They were so brazen it was very surprising," he said.

Detectives with LAPD's Pacific Division said the same trio has hit at least four Mar Vista homes since early August.

Detectives said the woman poses as Postmates delivery person and drives the getaway car.

"I don't think they're related to Postmates," The homeowner said. "just the idea that a stranger is walking up to your door it's like everyone is suspect."

Police said the suspects are known to ransack the homes and leave with pillow cases full of valuables.

"They stole the wedding ring from my late wife that may not be worth more than a hundred dollars, but to me it can't be replaced," the homeowner said.

Detectives hope someone will recognize the suspects in the video and call police.

The suspects are described as a black female in her 20s and two black males in their 20s.
