Video: Time-lapse of lightning strikes from space

The British astronaut Tim Peake tweeted a time lapse video on February 9 showing an electrical storm as he was flying over North Africa.

The video shows a cluster of short flashes erupting over the planet as lightning strikes the region.

His post had over 2,000 re-tweets in 12 hours.

"It's like its communicating," one person posted.
