Video shows mountain lion roaming residential street in Tarzana, leaving residents on edge
TARZANA, Calif. - A mountain lion captured on a home surveillance video in a residential neighborhood in Tarzana early Sunday has residents on high alert.
Surveillance video captured images of the animal roaming on the sidewalk in the 4600 block of Mirador Place just before 5 a.m.
The mountain lion was identified as P-63, a young male who is being tracked by the National Park Service, officials said Monday.
The sighting comes after a mountain lion was seen lurking around a Simi Valley neighborhood less than 48 hours after two dogs were attacked, one fatally, in that area.

Officials do not believe the mountain lion spotted in Tarzana was the same one responsible for the Simi Valley dog attacks.
