(FOX News) - Video emerged of a dramatic rescue of a Filipino photographer stuck on the 48th floor of the Dubai hotel that went up in flames on New Year's Eve.
After almost two hours of fearing for his life, Dennis Borja Mallari came up with a last ditch plan: He'd rappel down the building on a window-washer's cable even though it wasn't quite long enough to make it.
Salamat sa belt, cable wire, sa civil defense, mga kaibigan at sa Dios.
"I got scared," he said. "I prayed. If this is my last chance, then so be it."
As he started going over the edge, firefighters found him and saved his life.
