Victorian home in Pico-Union area damaged by fire
LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A two-story Victorian home in the Pico-Union area was damaged by flames on Saturday, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 4:25 p.m. at 1026 South Bonnie Brae St., said Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took about 50 firefighters 39 minutes to put out the flames, Scott said.
"Fire spread up the walls from the first to the second floor and compromised the floor of two rear bedrooms on the second floor," he said.
"Some companies were fighting fire long enough they ran low on air, exited as a precaution, refilled their air bottles and returned to the fight," Scott said. No injuries were reported.
