Turmoil In The Sepulveda Pass

UPDATE: Southern California Gas Co. says by later tonight the job to replace the 24 inch gas pipeline at Sepulveda and Mountaingate should be done by Monday night. Interestingly, traffic on both the 405 and Sepulveda where the work was underway was good through 5:30pm when it is normally congested.

Perhaps drivers from the morning drive decided not to try the Sepulveda Pass route on the way home from work after what the morning presented. There were drivers who told us it took them as much as 2 hours to make what normally would be a 45 minutes drive to work because of the bottleneck created by the work on Sepulveda. Four lanes were reduced to two. One in each direction.
