Travelers to LAX face road construction delays

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - Traffic at LAX will likely get more congested starting Monday night. The upper departure level will undergo major repair work in an effort to fix concrete, surface cracks and wear and tear, according to LAX officials.

Drivers will be able to use the road during construction, although some lanes may be closed off at night.

LAX officials expect the project to be completed before Thanksgiving.

Weekend construction work will be Monday through Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

Friday and Saturday construction goes from 11:00p.m. to 1:00p.m. the following day.

The work is part of a 32 million dollar construction project.
