Topanga Canyon Boulevard closure in Topanga area partially lifted

TOPANGA, Calif. (FOX 11 / CNS) - A section of Topanga Canyon Boulevard was closed in both directions overnight after a vehicle crashed into a power pole, downing some wires onto the roadway, authorities said Monday.

Crews from Southern California Edison and Caltrans were sent to the scene of the accident, which happened just before midnight Sunday near Entrada Road in the Topanga area.

The accident left some wires down in the road, which was closed in both directions in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

About 8:40 a.m., the southbound lanes were reopened, according to the city of Malibu. Crews continued their efforts to clear the northbound roadway.
