Sylmar strip mall fire causes partial roof collapse
SYLMAR, Calif. (FOX 11) - A fire broke out Monday morning at a strip mall in Sylmar, leading to a partial roof collapse and more than 100 firefighters to respond to the scene.
The fire was reported around 3:45 a.m. in the 12700 block of San Fernando Road at an L-shaped strip mall, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Officials said part of a roof collapsed, leading crews to attack the fire in a defensive mode.
No injuries were immediately reported, the LAFD said.
A total of 103 firefighters responded to the scene.
