Suspect sought after fatal carjacking in Westlake district

LOS ANGELES (FOX 11/CNS) - A carjacking victim suffered fatal injuries Thursday afternoon when he was run over by his own SUV in the Westlake district.

The carjacking occurred about 6:30 p.m. in the 600 block of South Carondelet Street, near MacArthur Park, according to Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Both the suspect and victim are men, Lopez said.

The suspect ran the victim over, fatally injuring him, and got away with his gray Nissan Xterra, Lopez said.
