Suspect arrested in murder of 76-year-old LA woman

LOS ANGELES - LAPD and FBI Taskforce investigators have arrested a Pasadena man for the murder of a 76-year-old Los Angeles woman on Dec. 8.

The Los Angeles Police Department says they took 56-year-old Timothy Chavira into custody on Dec. 18 at about 9:35 p.m. and booked him for the murder of Editha Deleon.

The murder happened at about 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 8 in the 3900 block of North Van Horne Avenue in the city of Los Angeles. Officers from the LAPD Hollenbeck division received a radio call of a death investigation.

Chavira's bail was set at $2,000,000. The investigation is ongoing.
