Star Wars fan who previewed "The Force Awakens" dies
The Houston man who got to see the new Star Wars movie as a dying wish has passed away.
Daniel Fleetwood had lung cancer and he was worried that he wouldn't live long enough to see "The Force Awakens" when it comes out next month.
His wife launched the social media campaign #forcefordaniel to grant his wish. Director J.J. Abrams and Disney let him see a rough cut of the movie last week.
Fleetwood passed away in his sleep last night. He was 32 years old.
His wife said on Facebook that he is now "one with God and the Force."
"Daniel put up an amazing fight to the very end. He is now one with God and with the force. He passed in his sleep and in peace. He will always be my idol and my hero. Please hug uncle Marc for me and give Lucy lots of kisses. Rest in peace my love. This was the last selfie we ever took together. #forcefordaniel," she wrote.
